The exact location of balloon launches depends on the wind direction and is determined immediately before the flight. Due to airspace availability restrictions, balloon flights are conducted outside of large urban areas. In the case of private flights, there is an option to adjust the launch site to the individual preferences of the participants.
The holder of a hot air balloon flight voucher should contact the ProBallooning office at least 7 days before the planned flight.
When ordering a hot air balloon flight voucher, at least one full name of the recipient must be provided in the form.
Redeeming the voucher is very simple:
* in the event that weather conditions prevent the flight from taking place on the previously booked date, another date convenient for the passenger will be arranged.
The voucher is valid for 12 months. To redeem the voucher, the holder is required to contact the ProBallooning office no later than 2 months before the voucher’s expiration date.
You have the option to return the voucher within 14 days of purchase. In such a case, the cost of the voucher will be refunded in full, without any additional deductions for the labor costs of the Customer Service Department or the Accounting Department.
After 14 days from the date of purchase, the voucher cannot be exchanged for cash, nor can it be returned. The company reserves the right to refuse to honor the voucher if its validity period has expired.

If the weather does not cooperate, we will do everything in our power to reschedule the flight to the next convenient date. However, if we cancel your reservation and are unable to reschedule, we will refund your payment. You may also choose to pay on-site.

At the time provided in the flight status update, our car will be waiting for you in front of the designated location. The trip to the launch site will take approximately 30 minutes.
Preparing the entire balloon for flight takes about 30 minutes. The pilot will perform a pre-flight inspection of the equipment and provide you with instructions regarding boarding, the flight itself, and landing. If you wish, you can also help with setting up the balloon!

When the balloon is ready for takeoff, you will receive an invitation to step on board.
Then we begin our journey through the sky! The pilot will ignite the burners, and the balloon will begin to lift into the air. While in the wicker basket, you will be surprised by the prevailing silence and the vastness of the space around you. The flight takes place at altitudes ranging from the treetops up to 1 km above ground level. Admire the wildlife and the most magnificent corners of the Masovian Lowlands as you move with the direction and strength of the wind. Don’t forget to wave to the people watching you and take plenty of photos!
After about an hour of flight, the pilot begins looking for the perfect spot for a safe landing. You will receive instructions to take the “landing position” and wait for further directions.
The landing is generally gentle, resembling an elevator coming to a stop. However, the degree of softness depends on the wind speed. In the case of stronger winds, you may experience a slight jolt or, in rare situations, a gentle landing with a drag. All landings are fully controlled and safe, and stronger winds only add excitement to the landing, increasing the enjoyment for the passengers. So, you have nothing to worry about!
After safely reaching the ground, the pilot will bring out a bottle of champagne, glasses, and flight certificates. Those who have experienced a balloon flight for the first time will undergo the traditional aeronaut baptism ceremony.

During a one-hour flight, you can see the picturesque meandering Vistula and Pilica rivers, which create natural corridors across the landscape. An equally impressive sight is the medieval Castle of the Dukes of Mazovia in Czersk, which displays its historical architecture from a height of several hundred meters. The Domaniow Reservoir is another landmark, offering a blue expanse of water that contrasts with the green areas around it. The choice of launch site usually happens a few hours before the flight, when atmospheric conditions become more predictable.

A safe launch requires an open, flat area free from obstacles such as power lines or tall trees. The wind speed at ground level cannot exceed 10 kilometers per hour, which further influences the final choice of location.
A complete balloon expedition requires reserving about three to four hours, although the flight itself lasts only one hour. The initial phase includes preparing the equipment, which takes from 20 to 40 minutes depending on the size of the balloon and the conditions. Passengers can watch the envelope being filled with air and the burner being assembled, and some are happy to help the crew.
After landing, there is a traditional champagne ceremony and the presentation of aeronautical certificates for first-timers. Packing up the balloon and transport back to the meeting point takes another 30 to 60 minutes. Therefore, arriving at the launch site early is crucial for maintaining the schedule of the entire expedition.
The summer season is characterized by very specific launch times, which occur just after dawn and about two hours before sunset. The morning stability of the air in summer provides optimal conditions without thermal turbulence, which develops later in the day. Evening launches take advantage of the moment when the temperature begins to drop and atmospheric activity decreases. The comfortable morning temperature ranges between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius, which makes the flight pleasant without the need for excessive clothing.
The winter months offer much greater time flexibility, as flights can take place throughout the day. Denser winter air requires less energy to lift the balloon, which translates into longer flights with the same fuel consumption. However, days are shorter in winter, which limits the total time window available for flights. The temperature during winter expeditions is significantly lower, which is why appropriate warm clothing becomes essential for passenger comfort.
Clothing should correspond to the season and the time of the flight, just as it would for a regular walk outdoors. Long pants to protect the legs and a long-sleeved sweatshirt are the foundation of your wardrobe, regardless of the season. Headwear is important both as protection from the sun in summer and from the cold during the colder months. Sunglasses help in observing the landscape without the discomfort caused by bright light.
Footwear must be closed-toe, comfortable, and have a flat sole to ensure stability in the basket. Landing may occur on uneven terrain, so shoes should protect your feet well against potential sharp objects. Short winter days limit the available time windows, but the clear air provides exceptional visibility of panoramas. Autumn offers moderate temperatures and average visibility, although the risk of unfavorable weather increases during this period. Regardless of the time of year, every flight requires a thorough assessment of meteorological conditions immediately before takeoff.
Unfavorable atmospheric conditions can completely prevent a safe flight, which requires rescheduling to a different date. Ground wind speeds exceeding 15 kilometers per hour are the main factor disqualifying a balloon launch. Horizontal visibility of less than five kilometers and a cloud base below 300 meters above the terrain also rule out a flight.
