No one feels crowded, and every passenger can freely admire the panorama. Such a flight differs significantly from crowded flights in large balloons.

Family flights take place in the picturesque surroundings of three Polish cities. Each of them delights with vast landscapes visible from above, and the exact launch location is determined before the flight depending on the wind direction.

  • Warsaw
  • Radom

The surroundings of each of these cities offer beautiful views that delight both adults and children.

Hot air balloon flight for the whole family

A hot air balloon flight is an experience that cannot be compared to any other attraction. Floating in silence over fields, forests, and cities makes an impression on everyone, regardless of age. A family hot air balloon flight is an opportunity to discover the beauty of Poland from a completely new perspective together with your loved ones.

The offer is aimed at 2 adults and a maximum of 3 children under 18 years of age. Each child must be over 110 cm tall, which is due to safety requirements. The flight takes place all year round, from Monday to Sunday. Takeoffs are planned just after sunrise and before sunset, and in winter, a flight is possible throughout the day.

Small baskets and the intimate nature of the flight

Flying in small baskets is something that truly distinguishes this type of flight. The basket holds a maximum of 5 passengers, which ensures greater comfort and an intimate atmosphere. Such a flight differs significantly from flights in large balloons, where it is often crowded. Every passenger has excellent conditions for admiring the views and taking photos.

Main features of the family flight:

  1. Maximum of 5 people in the basket, including 2 adults and up to 3 children
  2. The flight lasts 1 hour in the air
  3. Ascent to an altitude of up to about 1 km above the ground
  4. Takeoff and landing under the supervision of an experienced pilot
  5. Photos from the flight sent electronically at no extra charge
  6. Return transport to the meeting point after landing
  7. Refreshments at the landing site and a toast to a soft landing
  8. Aeronaut certificate for each participant after the first flight

After the flight, every participant can count on a warm welcome on the ground. Ballooning tradition includes a toast and refreshments at the landing site. A non-alcoholic equivalent of champagne is prepared for children. People flying in a balloon for the first time undergo an aeronaut baptism ceremony and receive a commemorative certificate.

Details of the hot air balloon flight

Every hot air balloon flight is a precisely planned undertaking that requires suitable weather conditions. The pilot monitors the weather on an ongoing basis and decides on the possibility of takeoff. For the entire duration of the adventure, from the meeting to the return, you should reserve about 3 to 4 hours.

Course of the entire flight:

  1. Car trip to the takeoff site, about 40 to 60 minutes
  2. Preparation of the balloon for flight, about 30 minutes
  3. Pre-flight training and pilot instructions
  4. Flight in the air for 1 hour at an altitude of up to 1 km
  5. Safe landing in a field chosen by the pilot
  6. Refreshments, toast, and aeronaut baptism ceremony
  7. Return transport to the meeting point

The landing is usually gentle and resembles a stopping elevator. With stronger wind, there may be a slight jolt, which adds extra excitement. All landings are fully controlled and safe, and the pilot watches over the comfort of the passengers at all times.

Where the flights take place

Family flights are carried out in the picturesque surroundings of three Polish cities. The exact takeoff location is determined before the flight, depending on the wind direction.

Takeoff locations:

  • Warsaw
  • Radom
  • Lodz

Flights take place outside of large urban areas due to airspace restrictions. Each location provides beautiful views of the vast landscapes of the Masovian Lowlands. From an altitude of 1 km, you can see fields, forests, rivers, and towns stretching to the horizon.

What to bring on the flight

Appropriate clothing is very important for comfort during the flight. The temperature in the basket may differ from that on the ground, so it is good to be prepared for any conditions.

Recommended clothing and equipment:

  • Comfortable clothing suitable for the season
  • Headwear to protect against the sun or wind
  • Long-sleeved sweatshirt
  • Closed-toe, flat-soled shoes
  • Sunglasses

Photography equipment is highly recommended. During the flight, you are free to take photos and record videos without any restrictions. The pilot also takes photos of the passengers, which are sent to them electronically after the flight.

Weather conditions and safety

Balloon flights are only possible in favorable weather. Precipitation, dense fog, strong winds over 15 km/h, or storms within a 100 km radius of the launch site prevent the flight from taking place. Information about a potential cancellation is usually provided 3 days before the scheduled date, and in such a case, a new date is set.

Balloons have EU certificates and are subject to regular technical inspections. Each flight is conducted by an experienced, licensed pilot. Passenger safety is the priority, which is why flights only take place under appropriate conditions.

Flexible rescheduling

Planning a balloon flight can depend on many factors, which is why it is possible to change the date. Changes must be made after prior contact with the organizer and no later than two weeks before the scheduled flight date. This option gives families the comfort of planning without unnecessary stress.

If a flight is canceled due to weather, the organizer will make every effort to set a new date. If rescheduling is not possible, the paid amount will be refunded. Payment on-site is also possible, which further simplifies the booking process.

FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

Flights are carried out in the picturesque areas surrounding three cities: Warsaw, Radom, and Lodz. The exact launch location is determined immediately before the flight and depends on the current wind direction. Due to airspace availability restrictions, flights take place outside of major urban metropolitan areas.

The balloon moves according to the direction and speed of the wind, which is why every flight follows a different route. This ensures that no two flights are ever the same. Each journey brings new views and different corners of the Masovian Lowlands.

The meeting point is determined individually and communicated to passengers along with the flight status update. This information is usually sent to participants 3 days before the scheduled takeoff. Sometimes the update appears only a day before, when weather conditions are difficult to predict.

A car will be waiting at the meeting point to take passengers to the launch field. The trip to the launch site takes between 40 and 60 minutes. Upon arrival, the pilot conducts an equipment inspection and a short pre-flight briefing for all participants.

The flight itself lasts about 60 minutes. For the entire adventure, from meeting up to returning, you should set aside 3 to 4 hours. This time includes the drive to the launch site, preparing the balloon for flight, the flight itself, and refreshments after landing.

Preparing the balloon takes about 30 minutes. After landing, a traditional aeronaut baptism ceremony, a toast, and snacks await. Only after the celebration do the participants return by transport to the meeting point.

A sunrise flight is one of the most spectacular types of ballooning experiences. At dawn, the sky shimmers with gold and pink, and the landscape looks completely different than it does during the day. The first rays of the sun fall upon the fields and forests, creating an extraordinary atmosphere of silence and peace.

During the spring and summer season, takeoffs are scheduled right after sunrise, when the wind is at its calmest. The morning hours favor stable atmospheric conditions, which translates into comfort and flight safety. A dawn flight is especially recommended for those who value unique experiences and beautiful photos.

A sunset flight provides unforgettable visual experiences. The setting sun colors the sky in shades of orange and red, while shadows stretch across the fields below the balloon. Such a flight has something both magical and romantic about it.

During the warmer months, evening takeoffs are scheduled about 2 hours before sunset. This allows participants to admire the full transformation of the sky during the flight. Atmospheric conditions in the evening are often just as favorable as in the morning, which makes sunset flights very popular.

Your outfit for a hot air balloon flight should be primarily comfortable and appropriate for the season. The temperature in the basket may differ from that on the ground, especially in the spring and autumn. Even on a warm day, it is a good idea to bring a long-sleeved sweatshirt.

It is recommended to wear headgear that protects against both the sun and the wind. Footwear should be closed-toe and have a flat sole to ensure stability in the basket. Sunglasses will be useful during flights on sunny days and will allow you to freely admire the views.

Balloon flights are conducted throughout the year, from Monday to Sunday. The season does not affect the possibility of takeoff; only the weather matters. Each season brings different views and different experiences during the flight.

In spring and summer, flights take place just after sunrise and in the late afternoon, about 2 hours before sunset. From late autumn to early spring, it is possible to fly at any time of day. Winter landscapes covered in snow are just as breathtaking from above as the greenery of summer.

A hot air balloon flight requires nearly perfect weather conditions. Flights do not take place during rain or snow, dense fog, low cloud bases, or when wind speeds exceed 15 km/h. The presence of storm cells within a 100 km radius of the launch site also precludes the possibility of a flight.

Information regarding flight cancellations is typically provided 3 days before the scheduled date. In the event of a cancellation, a new, convenient date is arranged. If rescheduling is not possible, the paid amount will be refunded. You may also change your flight date yourself by contacting the organizer no later than 72 hours before the scheduled flight.

A hot air balloon is one of the safest means of transport. Every flight is conducted by an experienced pilot with the appropriate aviation licenses. The equipment holds EU certificates and regularly undergoes technical inspections in accordance with regulations.

The nature of ballooning involves eliminating risks even before takeoff. If weather conditions are not suitable, the flight simply does not take place. Landing is usually gentle and resembles a stopping elevator, and the pilot maintains full control over the basket and the balloon at all times.
